The West Virginia
Adult Education Association, Inc.

The West Virginia Adult Education Association, Inc. (WVAEA, Inc.) provides leadership for the development of adult education in West Virginia; improves the quality of education for students; unifies individuals and groups concerned with adult education; publicizes recent knowledge and new techniques and methods that facilitate adult learning; and promotes professional growth through appropriate workshops, meetings, and local, state, and national conferences.  Membership is open to all institutions, businesses, organizations, students, and individuals interested in the field of adult education and literacy.

WVAEA, Inc. Goals

  • Give leadership to the development of adult education within West Virginia

  • Improve the quality of education for adult students

  • Unify individuals and groups concerned with adult learning

  • Promote professional growth through workshops; meetings; and local, state, and national conferences

  • Sponsor an annual WVAEA, Inc. state conference
