Do you know how to plan for college?
 The site will help you walk through the application process, find money to pay for college classes, and even provide you with resources to help you prepare for college-level work.

http://www.wveitc.com/ The EITC is a special federal tax credit for working families with a return up to $4,400 for those who are eligible.

The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is for working families with incomes less than $37,263. If you are eligible, you may receive money back from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) even if you don't owe taxes - but you must file a tax return.

You may also qualify for the Child Tax Credit (CTC), a federal tax credit worth up to $1,000 per child. You may qualify for the CTC if you have an earned income above $10,500 and you can claim at least one dependent child under age 17.

PBS Adult Learning Services: Ready to Earn - PBS initiative that provides young people and workers already on the job with the resources they need to develop workplace skills and pursue rewarding careers. Targeted to help the nation meet new standards in workforce readiness, adult literacy, and lifelong learning.

NW Adult Literacy Online Resources

The WORK4WV Career Centers coordinate a variety of state agency and local service organization offices in a single, convenient location. The WORK4WV Career Centers provide a single access point for career services, job search assistance and other employment related services. Additional services are made available at the centers through the use of electronic linkages via the Internet.

ABSPD - Adult Basic Skills Professional Development - The Adult Basic Skills Professional Development Project is committed to enhancing the quality of Basic Skills Instruction in North Carolina and across the nation through building the capacity of community colleges and community-based literacy organizations  Out mission is to provide relevant, timely, accessible and effective professional development for program faculty, develop a cadre of Certified Resource Specialists and develop better instructional skills for the classroom.
