Hit the Ground Running - 
               A Pre-employment Certification Program

What is it?

A four-week, 120 hour program to help adults be successful in their job search or preparation for a training program.

What will participants learn?

They will learn how to make the most of their strengths! PLUS, effective ways to:

  • Resolve conflicts
  • Use computers
  • Look for a job
  • Land that important interview
  • Display work habits that will get you noticed
  • Gain the skills needed to pass employment or training entrance exams
  • Manage your time and finances
  • Work in teams
  • Solve problems
  • AND LOTS MORE

How will this help me?

Successful completers can earn a Ready to Work credential that includes a nationally-recognized certification in important workplace skills. This impressive certificate can be noted on your job application or registration form for training programs.

Ready to Work Certificate

To achieve a Ready to Work Certificate, the participant must:

  • Attend a minimum of 90% of all scheduled sessions

  • Be punctual for each session

  • Achieve a minimum of Level 4 on each of the three Work Keysİ assessments:
    Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, Location Information

  • Score at least 80% on the post-test for each session

  • Complete a job application, resume, and cover letter

  • Complete a mock interview 

Certificate of Attendance

Participants not scoring a Level 4 or higher on the Work Keysİ assessments will receive a Certificate of Attendance if they meet all of the remaining criteria.
